Mrs. Loree Cox

 

Education

Mrs. Cox graduated from Parkview High School in Springfield, MO.  She attended Southwest Baptist University where she was a cheerleader and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.  Mrs. Cox attended College of the Ozarks where she earned her Elementary and Middle School Teaching Certification.  She continued her education and earned a Master's Degree in Religious Education from Southwestern in Fort Worth, Texas.  Mrs. Cox went to John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas and received her Master's Degree in School Counseling.


Bio.

Mrs. Cox loves being a part of the Pinedale family!  She has been in education for over twenty years.  Mrs. Cox has been a School Counselor in Arkansas and Alabama.  She has been a Kindergarten, First Grade, Third Grade, and Fourth Grade teacher in Arkansas and Alabama.  Mrs. Cox is married to Scott Cox. They have two children, Kylee and Caleb.  Mrs. Cox is very involved in her church, enjoys spending time with her family, going to the lake and the beach, exercising and watching sports.  

Lesson Plans

September-This month, Pinedale students will learn what a School Counselor does.  We discuss when, where, and why we can see the school counselor.  Kindergarten students will listen to the book, "Who the School Counselor is Not".  This book talks about the different people at the school and the role they play.  First and Second Graders will watch, Mrs. Joyce Gives the Best High Fives and we discuss when we should see the school counselor.  Third through Sixth grade will watch Mr. Peabody's apples and talk about the harmful effects of rumors and gosiup.  We discuss the difference between Tattling and Telling.
