Mrs. Wendy "Amber" Godwin
This is my 21st year teaching in special education. I taught in Georgia for 19 years. My family and I have lived in Alabama for a year now. I have taught in self contained, resource, and collaborative classrooms.
I am very passionate about creating a classroom family so we can work together! We will be spending a lot of time together so it is important to treat each other with respect, kindness, and compassion. I know that each of you have a different brain, which means you think and learn differently. It is my job as your teacher to help you grow as a learner and as a person of good character.
Want to know a little about me? When I am not planning lessons you can find me spending time with my family. My husband and I enjoy spending time in our yard or going on hikes. My two girls and I enjoy hanging out by the pool or on the trampoline. I also love to dive in to a good book and travel, preferably to the beach or mountains! I grew up in Bay Minette, AL and graduated from Troy University with an undergraduate in Collaborative Education. I moved to GA right after college and received my Masters from University of West GA in Special Education.
