I was born in Baltimore and grew up in Aberdeen Maryland. I graduated from Aberdeen Highschool in 1988. I graduated from the United States Military Academy (West Point) with a BS in Economics in 1992. After graduating, I was commisioned and served in the Army as a UH-1 & UH-60 pilot as well as an Aviation Logistician for over 22 years. During my time in the Army I deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. After retiring from the Army, I worked for a short period of time for the Defense Logistics Agency (Aviation) in Richmond, VA before relocating with my family (wife - Shana and daughter - Sydni) to Enteprise, AL in 2017.
Since there is no such thing as 'lawning', I will say my hobby is gardening. Which is another way of saying that I'm in an unofficial competition with the members of my cul-de-sac to see who can grow the greenist, fullist lawn. My reseach shows that improving a lawn can take a long time so my goal is to be at least tied for last place by next season.
I beleive that education and positive reinforcement from teachers played a tremendous role in preparing me for opportunties in life. It is my desire to pay it forward and provide that same positive reinforcement to the next generation of students.
