Extended Day begins at each school at approximately 3:10 and concludes at 4:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. NOTE: Enterprise High School may provide services from an alternate time schedule. The program will follow the schedule of the regular school calendar. If schools are closed due to holidays or inclement weather, the Extended Day Program will no offer services.
Students must be enrolled in Enterprise City Schools to be eligible to attend Extended Day classes. Students may be recommended by a teacher, counselor, or administrator based on academic need.
Extended Day classes are offered at each of our elementary and secondary schools. Each school will designate classrooms for Extended Day.
An Extended Day registration form must be completed and returned with a parent/guardian signature before a student receives services in the Extended Day Program. Parents can obtain additional information about the program from the site coordinator, extended day teachers or program director.
All Students registered for the after school session are expected to attend and be on time every afternoon they attend school, unless written parent notification is provided to the Extended Day teacher.
TRANSPORTATION AND FEES
Transportation is provided by parent/guardian. There are no attendance fees required for Extended Day Services.
Standard of conduct is the same as for the regular school day. Failure to comply with rules of conduct may result in a child being dismissed from the program.
LATE PICK UP
Parents must arrive on time to pick up their children from the Extended Day Program. When a parent realizes that they are going to be late, the parent must contact one of their emergency contacts to arrange transportation. If a child is late being picked up, after the third time the student may be dismissed from the program.
Students are enrolled in the program based on recommendation from school faculty. The Extended Day Program attempts to ensure that students who are recommended receive services. However, due to circumstances such as teacher/pupil ratio, students may be placed on a priority waiting list.
The Extended Day Director administers the program in the school system. The school site Extended Day Coordinator directs the program in his/her school. The principal is responsible for all activities in his/her building including the Extended Day Program. The principal in consultation with Extended Day staff may dismiss a student for repeated late pick ups, behavior problems, or failure to comply with program procedures.
