Hi, My name is Sharon Whigham. I am a 1990 graduate of Enterprise High School. I've earned an Associate in Science degree from Enterprise State Junior College and Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education (K - 6) from Troy University Dothan. I have over 21 years of teaching experience. I was a  first grade paraprofessional for 9 years at Holly Hill Elementary, taught kindergarten for 13 years at EEEC, and this will be my second year teaching first grade here @Brookwood Elementary.

I'm a mother of two and a GiGi to my beautiful granddaughter Alyse. My son Willie Curry is a 2012 graduate of Enterprise High School, 2017 graduate of the  Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs and lives in Fort Collins, Colorado. Willie is a Captain in the United States Air Force. My daughter  Autumn Curry is a 2013 graduate of Enterprise High School, 2015 graduate of Enterprise State Jr. college, 2018 graduate of Alabama A&M and lives in Orlando, Florida. Autumn is a speech pathologist. 

I am a member of Willow Oaks Church of Christ. I love teaching Sunday school, reading, shopping, sports, hanging out with my family and traveling with my husband Curtis.  

Throughout my 20+ years of teaching I've gained valuable hands-on experiences working with children. Working daily using different reading strategies to help promote and build students' confidence in their reading is great.  Watching the excitement of the student's faces as he/she achieves their prospected goal is "priceless".
